There is no call centre here and no network of subcontracted fitters. The person who prices your job is one of the two people who will be stood next to your car, and the calibration is done by us rather than booked in somewhere else afterwards.
Not ready to book? Ask whether a chip is repairable, whether your car needs calibration, or what your policy is likely to cover. We answer these all day.

Both of us came out of national glass networks. The work was fine. The way it got scheduled was not.
You were given a four-hour window, a fitter who had already done six jobs and had another four to go, and a job sheet that said recalibration was somebody else’s problem. The glass went in. Whether the camera behind it still pointed at the road was not on the sheet.
So the unit came first and the calibration rig came second, before the second van. Doing the recalibration in-house is the reason we can promise the job finishes in one visit, and it is the single thing most people ring us about after somebody else has left them halfway.
We have deliberately not grown past two vans. Four would mean hiring people we cannot stand next to, and the whole point was to stop handing jobs to strangers.
Anyone can list what they offer.
This is the more useful list.
Urethane will not cure properly in the wet. If we cannot rig a canopy we move the appointment, and we ring before setting off rather than after.
New mouldings and clips every time. Saving eight pounds on ten-year-old plastic is where wind noise at seventy comes from.
If the car needs it, it happens the same visit. We will not hand you a job sheet telling you to book that in elsewhere.
The same model year can take four different screens. Without the VIN a price is a guess, and a guess turns into a phone call from your driveway.
In the wiper sweep or the driver’s eyeline, a resin repair leaves a scar where it matters. We say so and lose the cheaper job.
No subcontractors, no unmarked cars. If we cannot do it ourselves that week, we tell you and you can go elsewhere.
Between us that is twenty-odd years of glass. Whoever picks up the phone is one of these two, and so is whoever pulls onto your drive.

Fitter & calibration
Came out of a national network after eleven years. Does most of the static calibration work and all of the awkward European saloons.

Fitter & mobile runs
Runs the mobile diary and most of the chip repairs. Knows which Bristol streets a long-wheelbase van cannot turn round in.

Signwritten, not unmarked
If somebody turns up in a plain car saying they are here for your windscreen, they are not from us. Ours are liveried and both of us carry ID.
Certificates for any of the above are on the wall at the unit, and we will email copies to a fleet manager or a broker on request.
The unit is an industrial bay off Whitby Road, five minutes from the A4. There is room to leave a car with us if you would rather not wait.
