Booking a windscreen means handing over a registration, a postcode and sometimes an insurance policy number. This sets out what we do with all of it, how long we keep it, and what you can make us do about it.

We collect what a glass job needs and nothing else. We do not sell anything to anybody. Your registration goes to a glass supplier and, if you are claiming, to your insurer. That is the whole of it.
Brunswick Vehicle Glass Ltd is a vehicle glass fitter registered in England and Wales, company number 11742096, at Unit 4, Whitby Road, Brislington, Bristol, BS4 3QF. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for the information described here.
If you want to ask anything about this notice, or about information we hold on you, email bookings@brunswickvehicleglass.co.uk or ring 0117 456 0192. There is no separate data protection officer; the two directors handle it between them.
Almost all of it comes from you, either through the form on this site, by phone, or by text and email.
Where a photograph of your vehicle might appear on our website or social media, we ask you first, and registration plates are obscured before anything is published. You can say no without it affecting the work, and you can ask us to take an image down afterwards.
Data protection law requires a lawful basis for each use. Ours are:
Not indefinitely, and not longer than we can justify.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can object to processing we do on the basis of legitimate interests, and you can withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
Email us and we will respond within one month. There is no charge. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we release anything — usually the registration and the address the job was done at.
Some of it we cannot delete on request. An invoice HMRC requires us to keep, or a calibration report tied to a safety system, stays until its retention period is up. We will tell you if that applies and why.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first — most things are a misunderstanding and get sorted the same week.
If that does not resolve it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. You do not have to come to us first, but we would rather you did.
