Jobs off the diary, not a stock library

Recent glass
off the vans

Every picture here is one of ours, taken on the job with a phone. Nothing is bought in from a stock library, which is why some of them have a wheelie bin in shot.

Want the same doing?

Send the registration and a photo. If it is the sort of job on this page we can usually tell you the price and the slot in one reply.

What a resin repair
actually removes

A repair does not make damage vanish. It stops it spreading and takes the eye off it. Worth seeing honestly before you decide between repairing and replacing.

of work

ADAS calibration targets set up in front of a car

Windscreen

Estate, acoustic screen

Bonded on a driveway in Henleaze. Rain sensor and humidity sensor moved across on new pads.

A windscreen being lifted into place with suction cups

Windscreen + ADAS

SUV with lane keeping

Replaced at the unit so the static calibration could run on the level floor straight afterwards.

ADAS recalibration in progress

Chip repair

Bullseye, passenger side

Forty minutes on a work car park in Aztec West. Outside the wiper sweep, so a repair held.

A chip repair in progress

ADAS

Dynamic calibration run

Road drive on the A4174 after a screen fitted elsewhere had been left uncalibrated for a fortnight.

Heated screen fitting

Van glass

Panel van, bonded screen

Fleet vehicle done at the depot before the morning run, so the van lost no working day.

Mobile fitting on a driveway

Chip repair

Three chips, one visit

Motorway stone damage on a commuter car. All three filled, none in the driver’s eyeline.

Side glass replacement

Windscreen

Heated screen, winter fit

Element connections checked and tested before the trim went back on. Heated screens are unforgiving.

Van glass replacement

Van + ADAS

Tipper with a camera

People assume commercials do not need calibration. Plenty of them do, and this one did.

A windscreen being cut out

HGV glass

Tractor unit, rubber glazed

Rubber-glazed rather than bonded. Different job entirely, and a two-person lift.

Why these are real

A gallery of stock photos
is a gallery of other people’s work.

This is the one page where a photograph has to be honest, because the entire point of it is proof. So these are ours, with everything that comes with that.

  • Shot on a phone, on a driveway, in whatever light there was that morning.
  • A stock windscreen is somebody else’s van on somebody else’s driveway, and it proves nothing.
  • Registrations get blurred before anything is published, every time.
  • We ask the customer before their car appears, even with the plate obscured.
  • Fewer pictures of real work beats a wall of invented work.

Send us one yourself

People ask what camera they need for a damage photo. A phone, in daylight, with the chip filling the frame. That is the whole of it.

Wipe the glass first, stand so the sky is behind you, and take three rather than one.

We blur the plate

Before anything goes on the site or social media. If in doubt we crop it out of the frame entirely.

of these cars said

★★★★★
Three vans done in one morning at our yard. No downtime, one invoice.

Told me the chip was too close to the edge to repair rather than taking the money and trying anyway.

Heated screen on the Focus fitted in the rain under a gazebo. Spotless job.

Where these were done

Most of the jobs above were within half an hour of the unit. The vans go further when the diary allows, and the calibration bay covers anything that cannot be done on a driveway.
