Get hold
of us

Two of us answer the phone between jobs, so if it rings out we are usually under a bonnet rather than ignoring you. Leave a message with the registration and we ring back the same working day.

Send the details

Registration and postcode is enough to start. A photo of the damage saves a call, because we can usually tell from it whether it repairs or replaces.

The last replacement slot goes out two hours before closing, because the glass needs to be bonded and the trim back on before we leave. Chip repairs go out later than that.

Out of hours the phone takes a message and it is read first thing. If the screen has gone through and the car is not driveable, say so in the message and it moves to the front.

Have this to hand

  • RegistrationIt gives us the VIN, and the VIN gives us the right glass out of four possibilities.
  • Postcode where the car will beHome, work or the side of a road. It changes which van and which slot.
  • A photo of the damageClose up, with something for scale. Decides repair against replacement in seconds.
  • Insurer and policy numberOnly if you are claiming. We make the call to them, not you.
  • Where it will be parkedDriveway, permit bay, multi-storey. Height limits and space change the plan.

None of it is essential to get a rough answer. It is just the difference between one call and three.

Quick answers

Before you
pick up the phone

Can I just turn up at the unit?

Ring first. Both of us are out on mobile jobs most of the day, so an unannounced visit often finds a locked bay. If you are passing and want a chip looked at, a two-minute call will tell you whether anyone is in.

Nobody answered. Have I been ignored?

No — we are almost certainly mid-job with wet urethane in hand, which is not a thing you put down. Leave the registration and a number and you will get a call back the same working day.

If it is urgent, say the word urgent in the message. That gets read differently.

How do I send a photo of the damage?

Text it to the same number, or email it. Get close enough that the chip fills a good part of the frame and put a coin next to it for scale. Shoot from the outside of the glass with the interior in shadow if you can.

Do you take card?

Card in the van and at the unit, bank transfer if you prefer, and nothing at all to pay up front on an insurance job beyond the policy excess. We do not take payment before the work is done.

What if I need to move or cancel a booking?

Ring or reply to the confirmation. There is no cancellation charge unless the glass was a special order already cut and paid for, and if that is the case we will have told you when you booked.

Finding the unit

Whitby Road runs off the A4 Bath Road. We are the fourth bay along, behind the roller shutter with the aqua stripe. There is space to leave a car with us if you would rather not wait for it.
